Marriage Vows

 

Marriage begins in the giving of words. We cannot join ourselves to one another without giving our word. And this must be an unconditional giving, for in joining ourselves to one another, we are making a commitment to share all of life’s possibilities.

The wedding rings are an outward and visible sign not only to you, but to those around you of the inward and spiritual commitments that you are making here today. I challenge you not to let them be just another piece of jewelry on your finger. When you look down at them, I want you to remember this special day, the promises that you have made, and those friends and family that are here to support you.-
